Hello, long time no posting.

So i've decided to buy myself a nice racebike to commute to work. It is a 19.6km ride, which works out to about 40km per day. I ride at an average pace of like 23-26km/h and according to some sources i should burn around 1600 calories in total.

Can this really be true? I am 194cm tall and weigh 88kgs.

If it really does burn that much energy wont i eventually fade away if i don't eat an enormous amount? I can barely eat my 2500 kcals a day as it is lol.

Any experienced cyclist who can give me some tips about recovery etc?
