    How to Run VMWare with your graphics card for RS3 NXT

    This guide assumes your host machine is running Windows 10, have VMware Workstation 16 installed, and your virtual machine's operating system has the newest version of VMware Tools installed. All of these steps are done on your host machine.

    Configure Windows Graphics settings for VMware Workstation

    1. Navigate to Windows' 'Graphics settings' menu via Start Menu -> 'Settings' -> search for 'Graphics Settings'.
    2. Set the 'Choose an app to set preference' dropdown to 'Desktop app'.
    3. Click the 'Browse' button.
    4. Navigate to the following folder path: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation'
    5. Select the 'vmware.exe' file.
    6. Click the 'Add' button.
    7. Verify that an entry is added to the 'Graphics settings' menu for 'VMware Workstation'.
    8. Click the 'Browse' button.
    9. Navigate to the following folder path: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation\x64'
    10. Select the 'vmware-vmx.exe' file.
    11. Click the 'Add' button.
    12. Verify that an entry is added to the 'Graphics settings' menu for 'VMware Workstation VMX'.
    13. Reboot your computer.

    For Computers with Nvidia Graphics

    For NVIDIA Cards Supporting Geforce Experience - List

    1. Update Drivers
    1. Navigate to the following website: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/
    2. Under 'Automatic Driver Updates', click the 'Download Now' button.
    3. Run the downloaded installer for 'Geforce Experience'.
    4. Launch 'Geforce Experience'.
    5. Check for and install driver updates.
    6. Reboot your computer.

    2. Uninstall NVIDIA Control Panel
    1. Navigate to the 'Apps & features' menu via Start Menu -> 'Settings' -> search for 'Apps & features'
    2. Search for 'NVIDIA Control Panel'.
    3. Uninstall 'NVIDIA Control Panel'.
    4. Reboot your computer.


    For NVIDIA Cards Not Supporting Geforce Experience - Everything Else
    Spoiler: 
    1. Update Drivers
    1. Navigate to the following website: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
    2. Under 'NVIDIA Driver Downloads', populate the search fields.
    3. Open the downloaded installer.
    4. Upon reaching the 'Options' section, choose 'Custom (Advanced)' and click the 'Next' button.
    5. On the 'Custom installation options' page, check the 'Perform a clean installation' checkbox and click the 'Next' button.
    6. Complete the rest of the installer.
    7. Reboot your computer.

    2. Uninstall NVIDIA Control Panel
    1. Navigate to the 'Apps & features' menu via Start Menu -> 'Settings' -> search for 'Apps & features'.
    2. Search for 'NVIDIA Control Panel'.
    3. Uninstall 'NVIDIA Control Panel'.
    4. Reboot your computer.

    3. Install Microsoft Store version of NVIDIA Control Panel
    1. Launch 'Microsoft Store'.
    2. Search for and select 'NVIDIA Control Panel'.
    3. Click the 'Get' button and wait for it to finish installing.
    4. Reboot your computer.

    4. Configure NVIDIA Control Panel (Requires the Microsoft Store version)
    1. Launch 'NVIDIA Control Panel'.
    2. Navigate: 'Manage 3D Settings' > 'Program Settings'.
    3. Under '1. Select a program to customize:' click the 'Add' button.
    4. Navigate to the following folder path: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation'
    5. Select the 'vmware.exe' file.
    6. [SKIP IF YOU HAVE ONLY 1 GRAPHICS CARD AND NO INTEGRATED GRAPHICS] Under '2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program:' select the option that has the words 'high performance' or 'NVIDIA' in it.
    7. Click the 'Apply' button.
    8. Under '1. Select a program to customize:' click the 'Add' button.
    9. Navigate to the following folder path: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation\x64'
    10. Select the 'vmware-vmx.exe' file.
    11. [SKIP IF YOU HAVE ONLY 1 GRAPHICS CARD AND NO INTEGRATED GRAPHICS] Under '2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program:' select the option that has the words 'high performance' or 'NVIDIA' in it.
    12. Click the 'Apply' button.
