What's new in Genesis 2
Genesis 2 is the biggest change to Genesis since it began. It installs in one step, moves more like a person than ever, works with any application, and can now work alongside an AI assistant that builds and fixes bots with you. Here is what changed, and what it means for you.
An AI assistant that works on your bots
The headline of Genesis 2. With Genesis Plus you can:
- Build a bot from a description, with named placeholders for items you have not captured yet.
- Ask why a run stopped and get an answer from that run's own log.
- Edit bots by asking: add steps, change what an action waits for, adjust timing.
- Set up environments from a screenshot, and repair parts an update has moved.
- Let AI watch over a run and step in before a session gives up (off by default).
- Use it inside Genesis, or connect your own AI assistant, such as Claude.
Every suggested change is shown to you first, and nothing is applied until you confirm it.
Environments for any application
Genesis has always been able to automate more than one game. Genesis 2 makes environments something you can build, publish and keep up to date:
- An Environments tab to find, install and update environments.
- Build your own from scratch, with the editor suggesting anchors for you.
- Publish an environment and maintain it with trusted co-authors.
- Your own fixes survive updates, and bots keep the version they were built with until you choose to update.
More human than ever
- A biometrics overhaul: more realistic mouse travel, idle movement, chain-clicking and aiming at moving targets.
- The biometrics dashboard: every run scored against your own calibration across 29 checks, with a realism score out of 100.
- Warnings before you start when your recent runs look out of character, including long days spread across several computers.
- Breaks and fatigue carry over when a session restarts, so a restart never hands you a fresh, untired session.
- Shared bots never carry their author's hand: you run them with your own.
Plans, breaks and run-once bots
- Plans: put bots and breaks together in order, each with a range of time ("45-75 minutes"), save them, and find them again when you reopen Genesis.
- Run-once bots that get you somewhere, such as walking to where the next bot starts, then stop.
- A new pause menu and break window: see what is coming next, end a break early or stop cleanly.
Easier bot building
- Version history: restore points for every bot, so any change can be rolled back.
- Add to Map: extend a bot's map with new areas without breaking it.
- One-click world items: define an object by clicking it once, with a live count of how many the bot can see.
- A friendlier action graph: drag the middle of an action to move it, drag its ring to draw a link.
- Load from bot: start a new bot as a copy of one you already have.
- Spells, prayers and menu choices recognised by their picture, not by where they were on screen.
Sharing
- Share links: send anyone a link and the bot is waiting for them in Genesis.
- A redesigned Share tab with search and sorting, and download counts that count people, not downloads.
- Free accounts can now download shared bots too. Browse the bot library.
Faster, simpler, steadier
- No Java to install: everything Genesis needs comes in one installer.
- Much faster screen reading and text reading, and lower memory use.
- Clear help when Genesis can't find your application: display scaling, multiple monitors, colour depth and stretched windows are detected and explained.
- A new main window that opens straight onto your bots.
- A free tier: an hour of botting a day, free.
The full list of changes, version by version, is on your dashboard.
